@Elhao and @WhimsiCat

Your argument is actually quite important, regarding Himari and Mia. You’ll know the right answer to it in the second batch of chapters I’ll release, wont give any details as not to spoil 😛.

I have been reading the RAW so I already know :meguusmug:

I chuckled quite a bit at some of the reveals in ch 27
You sneaky @WhimsiCat lol.
Aunt is also shit, years of keeping distant and silent and denying the parental love and acceptance Philia is ridiculously desperate for while Philia is living with her without shitty parents around at all because of passive aggressive toward the only innocent party bullshit. Adopting Mia is also going to hurt Philia and there is no possible way auntie doesn't know that.

Mia needs to just get out of there and leave them all to their earned fate.
Remember her whole family ostracized her, disparaged her and stole her daughter. She had no power besides her own words and being a saintess and still was not heard. How could she do that? If she had told Philia what would have been the guarantees for Philia’s and Hilda’s safety? Who would have helped even if nothing happens after setting things straight?

Although the second part I agree, Hilda adopting Mia is definitely going to hurt Philia, if she ever finds out the truth of course. That will probably be a development for the future, we still dont know much of the world’s context, why are there celestial and demon realms? Why are there specific saintess family lines with power? I’ll leave those questions out in the open :p.

What, that your proposed idea of letting the country burn was stupid and none of the 'good guys' has shown any desire to even want that result? You're the one who keep going elsewhere.

Ah yes, surely Philia who proposed putting up barriers to prevent the outbreak or recently ask Pannacotta to sortie troops to save Gritonia will take your side on letting the outbreak happen.
Or Mia who made this declaration a while back
Yeah, I'm sure they're on that side. /s

The only one that seem fine with the country going to shit as long as they're happy is 2nd prince...
Man, you yourself repeatedly quoted and posted how Philia wanted Mia to be safe, even if it meant fleeing Gritonia, which would have left the country without a saintess and thus defenseless. All the plans she made were to keep Mia safe, not the country.

The Saintesse's in this world really need to murder some people if the situation demands it. We know they are quite capable of dealing with monsters.

Considering they are essential to their civilization. You might think saintesses would be better protected by either a church or state institution. The monster hunting knighthood order should chimp out the minute they screw with the saintess. Even nobles and royals would think twice messing with the corner stone of their kingdom's protection if it was backed up by a armed force.

literally plan about curing the king to help the country.
Yeah, 'not the country' indeed /s

Since you seem to have really bad memories/seemingly refuse to actually read what's said, let's go to those pages again, try reading it sloooooowly and let it sink in this time maybe?

https://mangadex.org/chapter/c05a5ed8-3d70-44d1-b75b-478e96d7e20e/26
"Please deliver the letter" is the first thing.
https://mangadex.org/chapter/c05a5ed8-3d70-44d1-b75b-478e96d7e20e/27
Telling Himari to prioritize her own safety and "please protect my sister"
https://mangadex.org/chapter/c05a5ed8-3d70-44d1-b75b-478e96d7e20e/29
"if something were to happen, at that time please take my sister and run away"

Notice the order of things she said? Taking Mia away was said last.

I did not refute even once about Philia wanting Mia to be safe, I refuted that taking Mia away was ever the first priority as you mistakenly claimed here:
No actually, the initial plan had been to escort Mia out to Parnacotta, leaving Gritonia without a saintess. It was just her that declined.
And Philia has been clear that she's only working to keep Mia safe, not Gritonia.

The problem is that people forgot just how they actually needed a saint to begin with. Remember, nobody in the entire continent even knew there would be a disaster like this, until Philia pointed it out to them.

In the 400 years since the last monster swarm/Demon Realm "encroachment", there weren't that many monsters to deal with, so the knights could actually handle the situation on their own. The saints just made things easier for them to deal with.

Hilda: Why do you hate me so much?
POS: MOTHER ALWAYS LOVED YOU, SO YOU MUST SUFFER!

To think, all of this was spawned from the pos father being envious of his sister getting all of their mother's affection and attention, and not fulfilling his Oedipus Complex's quotas.

Though that mother may be partial to blame for playing favorites, on the other hand, it's no wonder she never loved him.

Damn, that was not a bombshell I was expecting nor how I expected that type of situation to play out. I really hope some specific people die, at least by monsters, but preferably by people.

We need to clarify our vocabulary if we want this to go anywhere, because in your quote I haven't used the word priority once and if you demand me to be exact, please be so either.

Plan =! Priority.

Philia's priorities are

1. Her duties in Parnacotta
2. Mia's safety
3. Gritonia

She has been acting to ensure her goals in this order. 1 and 2 may be debatable, but to me everything she did showed her putting her duties before anxthing else, however the order between 2 and 3 is clear, as shown by chapter 17. As long as Mia is in danger, everything positive she does for Gritonia is mostly a side effect to ensure priority 2.

Julius has done his best to let number 3 go to hell and Mia endangers number 2 by refusing to leave the country, thus Philia has to pick up the slack and carry the entire continent on her shoulders.

At this point it's more like an apartment complex with 3 decent families and 25 squatter clans wasting the place. And we aren't setting it on fire ourself, we give up preventing them from doing it after having spent every waking moment doing nothing else before.
Dont let the loud insanely fucking shit few blind you from the many who r normal

You're right.
You said 'initial plan'

The rest of my post remains the same because it doesn't change what I meant that you're wrong about that still.

This story is so good. I feel like we should've seen the false parentage coming, but I didn't and was pleasantly surprised. The relation these two have with Philia is so sweet, yet so heartbreaking.
