I really do not understand how every country in Asia acts like foreigners see them as "some remote country." It's Korea. EVERYONE knows about Korea, EVERYONE knows about China, Japan, Vietnam, etc. If you want to claim to be some 'remote' country then pick Burma or something, still a large country but not really one that people know a ton about beyond them having jungles.
