I know that the novel vs comic will always have some differences, but it's pretty glaring that in the comic Sylvia (the blonde-haired student) is the one that sees Deculein at the graveyard, when it's actually Yulie (the white-haired current fiance) that does in the novel.

Hope to god this doesn't imply he'll go after the young ones.

This seems quite plot-changing. For example, here Slyvia rescues him but in the actual novel Yulie did? Sylvia doing so is fine, but for Yulie to do so, moved by the sight of him in tears--even if just curious on what could it mean--gives a whole lotta difference in narrative and characterization. I can't help but feel the manga fumbled by changing this, but lessee what happens

First, disappointed the girl wasn't Ganesha
Second, the manhua is different from ln? Why?
