The only possible reason is that this is the latest chapter (pretty much just released) and other groups have done the other 2nd season chapters that are not here, aka they're "getting ahead of the competition"

I've been keeping up to date so I was surprised that this is the first place I'd see the newest chapter...

Looking through their uploads, they're a bit notorious for... I suppose, sniping? Plenty of uploads for series that are on pause here on MangaDex for a couple of months, skipping ahead to the latest chapter, and a clear advertisement to read on their site. Not a good sign.

I haven't checked their site yet, but I wouldn't doubt they have some chapters locked behind a paywall, too. I don't deny being too cynical there, however.

EDIT: Just checked. Yup. Some series are definitely paywalled.
