Yeah they both think they've been forever separated. There's no reason for them to assume otherwise yet. It's sad but also potentially touching to see two people fall in love all over again without realizing it. Even though they should be "enemies," just being near each other for a couple moments has reminded them of each other and made them start connecting.

Unless I missunderstood, at least by first chapter name, the two were just best friends, or where they actually a couple?
Both cases would be cute, though going from best friends to lovers would actually be also a bit funny

I think Ada should try to befriend Kaye. at least she already kind enough to help her at class. whether that will change the original plot story and will prevent her from going back to real world, at least by doing that, Kaye won't kill her, whether she will become demon lord or not. I mean, at least Ada can prevent her death at the Kaye's hands right? that's one thing is sure for now, and she definitely can afford it. especially they have become a desk friend.
