I just... I mean... yeah, it's obvious they are our main pair, and romance is inevitable, but how often do you just forgive and forget the fact someone tortured you for hours and treated you like an object? I'm afraid there's no way he'll fall for the amnesiac plot, and this genre rarely gives us any proper communication, even between the leads.
Or you could say, especially between the leads.

This is the type of interaction which I always dread happening in a setup for the villainess. She's already tortured the guy and suddenly being nice to him. The guy over a short period of time basically forgets everything about it and it all becomes hunky dory. I'm sure he'll spend a few chapters still being a little wary, but this happens so much in the villainess genre that it grinds my gears a bit. I'll just go ahead and attribute this to an incoming Stockholm syndrome and turn my brain off and enjoy the rest lol.
