I feel awful I didn't add a little note referencing you on the most recent chapter I uploaded, I didn't even see yours because I was so sleepy.🥲
With this chapter, people will see all the changes I made in the dialogue and how I am making stuff more wordy for no good reason 🫣
Also I can't believe in all the time I spent trying to figure out "flower picker" I didn't once see the meaning you got 😭 I must have not had the correct key words or something because it definitely makes more sense why Hua Ling was hitting the uwu, because the situation was moreso embarrassing, and not a literal crime ☠️
Yeah I see the 3rd person in mostly Japanese media so I just figured it was the same deal, but I should have looked to make sure.It's not my fault Shangxue was legitimately acting annoying
I couldn't for the life of me figure out that SFX either, so I just completely skipped it, (not that I was even being consistent on what to TL lol). AlsoI remember not liking the "handsome woman" line because it was so tricky for me to figure out???
You might have seen, but I added the whore+slut TL note to Ch64 because I forgot do it on Ch63, and went with imp+hussy. The reasoning was in the note, but low-key they were chosen to minimize the harshness, because the misogyny was going hard. I love Hua Ling, she is my favorite and I didn't want to see her putting down other women so I did a big bad and put my feelings in the translation 🫠 If I were being more true to the work, I would have gone with the same combo as you 100%
CC Wild Words because this is the classic font everyone uses. (Also what did you use for the polka-dotted font at the end? I wanted to use one for another chapter but none of them looked good.)
I won't blame people if they want your TLs because yours are more fluid to read, better researched culturally, and not to mention your CL/RD are millions of times better, it's not even a competition.
And yeah I haven't read much passed 73 but I agree with the ship being cute ☺️

it might be google, I've noticed that I get wildly different search results depending on what electronic I use because of the different profiles. For my laptop, I get scientific articles as my results all the time when I enter a question, whereas on ipad, i get random websites with questionable answers.

I have just found out that there is no keyboard with the character because it's traditional chinese, not simplified. If they used simplified chinese, it would be 轰隆隆. It means 'noisy'.
Why they changed that character, I have no clue cause I think that the traditional one seems easier to reason as well as remember (3 车 = 3 cars making lots of noise)
I'm using anime ace 2.0 bb. They look kind of the same but I don't like how harsh the 'u' looks in anime ace. Now that I'm comparing, the wild words seem better cause the 'u' is slightly less boxy but has an overall similar vibe.
For the polka dot text, I used a clipping mask and draw over the text with a screentone brush (I use procreate which is a little clunky working with text but it works well enough)
