The author really went with the most easy to predict twist didn't he, admittedly I didn't think it was going to be that he killed his parents because honestly that seems stupid, I just thought he was manipulating the Sword Hero emotionally or some other stupid cliche, which he is, still if the reason why he did that is because he wanted to twist a happy version of the Sword Hero from his OG timeline then that's kinda lame, if you want to be evil like that then don't bother man, no one likes the Hidden Mastermind That Planned It All From The Beginning type of villains.
The story suddenly got even worse with the implications by the way.
