The only character to this common thot is her unbearable self-pity. Her thoughts and speech over these chapters read as those instagram posts with text overlying the poster crying over first-world problems and real shit alike, as if Taylor Swift drama is equivalent to your dad being tortured to death by cancer. The self-pity is just narcissism before social media, all obvious since the announcement over the school comms. I thought she would be struck down after giving our protagonists something of a mental break, so the outcome hitherto gives me a claustrophobia.
