First and foremost this was not written by somebody who studied child psychology.(Maybe the novel is better idk haven't read it) There are way too many issues that get glossed over or don't get thought through. As someone with just a vague understanding of psychology, there are just so many icky things that currently haven't gotten a resolution that should've been point of our art last mentioned. (Not that I'm holding out hope. Too many things get "solved" through pure lip service alone for me to think they'll delve too far). Other things just feel poorly written in general like they were trying to copy all those otome games version of "kindness". It's okay if you turn your brain off and don't look too closely I guess...
