If it was me, i would never go. I could not bear to see my old family/friend crying for me, and of course you can't really say the truth.

I would go to my own funeral even tho it’s a bad idea, I’m unsure if people would cry, but I think it would say a lot about their feelings towards me when I was alive. It would bring me peace I think
