@wonpils I'm not sure about the cousin (I
suppose that's possible), but it was made apparent in the previous chapters that the Prime Minister is the brother of Delice. I'm not sure of their relationship with the Emperor. All I know is that things are getting
pretty interesting and
@Nicolausx09, the MC probably doesn't recognize him because 1. he looks different with the hair and blood splatter, 2. Context (people often don't expect the murdering butcher who conquered your society through brutality and bloodshed to be the amicable hottie who acts civilized, kind, and runs the information service guild as its guildmaster), and 3. Due to the language barrier, she probably has heard the name of her perceived "Big Bad" differently, and she probably read it differently in her native tongue. Some of this is lost because we don't see the language differences clearly in the text/translation/plotting, but it's nevertheless there. She's confused largely by context and the way names are pronounced. I'm definitely sure she'll figure it out once she hears his name/sees his covered in blood holding a sword #context. But, I think that's precisely what Delice is avoiding purposefully. He probably isn't going to want to divorce her and will make accommodations.
@wonpils, he's thinking about him I
think because she's a softening element. In other words, instead of murdering him too for annoying him, he thinks of the MC. The PM may *also* be the MC's cousin, but I think the context there was him being reminded of the "softening elements" in his life, which dissuades him from killing
without limit or preference (sorry, the adjective I'm thinking of is not coming to me). She's acting like his lavender stogies. =P
It's also possible that the Prime Minister
is indeed the cousin of the MC and the textual ambiguity surrounds whether he's referring to Delice or the MC as his "family". It wasn't made
entirely clear. However, they do have the same eye color, so it's indeed
possible that the PM & MC are cousins. Of course, it hasn't been made
entirely clear if Delice is the Emperor, Crown Prince, merely the
Imperial Enforcer/Darth Vader, or someone/something else. He's got a
role, but it isn't entirely clear who is what to whom nor what their day jobs are. I mean,
technically the Crown Prince
could be considered as a "Civil Servant". The brother to the king
could be a lowly Baron, though I'm guessing that
may be a cover story because it's
highly unlikely that the
Imperial Enforcer/Darth Vader to the Emperor would
not have his status raised on account of
Service to the Empire. Since he
already works in the intelligence service, it would be
entirely reasonable that he'd either be hiding his true identity/lied in the documentation. I suppose the other possibility is that he's being blackmailed by the Emperor, though I still find it rather unlikely that his success would have him ranked
only at the status of a Baron given his service (unless the author doesn't know how this sort of thing can work, or the Empire is so corrupt that these sorts of classical title building doesn't happen).
