If I'm not wrong, I think that was a translator issue (but yes he was a late bloomer - he went through a lot of shit before he hit stardom)

IIRC what happened was: normally, only the lead/main actors in a movie win Best Actor (supporting actors would win Best Supporting Actor, aptly), but he won Best Actor in a movie where he was a supporting actor; MC just keeps referring to that moment because he committed suicide not long after

Popular actors sometimes play supporting actors to other leads, and vice versa (e.g. Brad Pitt, who's obviously a massive movie star, was one of many supporting actors to Chiwetel Ejiofor's lead role in 12 Years a Slave) so just because he was in a supporting role at the time doesn't mean he himself wasn't a superstar

I could be wrong and misunderstood what happened, though - Odin Scans' translation was rough lmao

if it really was as you said (winning best actor as a supporting actor) then it makes sense that it's considered a huge achievement in the manhwa.

Woah timeskip. I was thinking it'd be nice if MC were a bit older, to increase the odds of encountering peers closer to his level.

Would also be cool to see some butterfly effect stuff. Like someone he never heard of in his past life becoming huge in the entertainment industry due to the indirect consequences of his rebirth.
