Momo Chidori sensei was hospitalised quite often due to eye strain during the latter part of the series, which I think was the main reason they had to end the series. Plus the lack of care Comico put on promoting Ake no Tobari despite its popularity. The only merch they got were two limited edition acrilyc stands and Comico deleted them from their store (this was during a period where Comico putting out anime adaptations btw). And they also shown lack of concern of Author's health which caused them multiple hospitalisations.

god i cant believe this was the end of the era. i totally forgot to commend on this so sorry nanaten. thank you so much for translating one of my fave all time mangas. i truly hope this series get the love it deserves with some kind of merch of collab cafe. or even a published western release in print.
