I see the concern of romance for familial vs romantic. Romance tag(imo) is for the romantic kind. The ones who "forget" want the former.

Other childraising manga like

But his romantic interest was towards Raika.

For this assasin x orphan manga we dont have a char like Raika mc has romantic interests for, thus the concern of a romance tag is not ungrounded.
