I think that with the modern, younger crowd, who grew up on modern media, most people's reaction to magic would be along the lines of "magic is real? cool". I think the biggest risk would be related to people trying to isekai themselves knowing that, rather than magic users' hostility.

Also, serialization, please. I think this has pretty good potential for at least a few volumes, even if it's episodic SoL with no plot.

And this is definitely not "Girl's Love" - there isn't even anything to tag it with "Subtext".
