It’s the proofreader/QC’s duty to ensure that keywords are maintained or improved, regardless of time gap. Clearly “congregation of mages” wasn’t an improvement of “Mage Association” as a faction name. Even if years had elapsed, a simple “spend 5 mins reading the prev ch” would work, for starters, followed by “using contextual common sense”.

And i’m just the guy who proofreads occasionally (and definitely wanted a well-paid full-time job doing proofreading but a well-paid proofreader doesn’t exist unless you’re the godsdamned editor)
