That's a happier ending than I thought. Took me the final chapter to realise the year is not modern, should've guessed that when there's no smartphones and that prophecy (I thought they were delaying it).
Thanks for the translations!

Love most of her works, but this one didn't quite hook me until the final few chapters, and even then it felt a tad bit too rushed. Just feels like there's a bit of a lack of actual meat to this one, but it's not bad, and I'm always more than happy to read anything from Uguisu Sachiko. Thanks for getting the whole thing translated for us!

I'll be honest, I think this is the weakest one among her works that are available to read on here. I still think every single work of hers is at least a 7/10, including this one, but it was a bit devoid of charm and didn't have as much of a pull as her other works. Reading it all in one go is definitely the recommended way if you want to enjoy Tokimeki no Ikenie.

For the scanny team, thank you very much for the translation so we could finally read this one in its entirety.

I came to comments to see if anyone had any thoughts or said the joke of "is this manga about Y2k" because they mention computers and the 1999 being important. Then I saw a literal tumbleweed go by as I looked at the comments number being ZERO
I completely forgot Y2k was a thing lmao. It most likely is a reference to that tho
