Oh, same. I just got into painting BattleMechs for BattleTech, but I'm an Old, hands ache and my sight's crappy.

I am not a calm painter, put it like that, so anyone who can actually bring themselves to weather a beloved or expensive model is someone I look up to.

Not a fan of weathering myself, but those who do it, have my respect, as you need to have a fine sense to not overdo it.

As a giga casual observer, I've always impressed with the (any) models in diorama, the weathering/dirtying paint work always looked epic to me. One probably need to look deeper to find those funny or bad ones.
