Uhm to be honest I was planning on uploading this through ftp and I just haven't had the time XD. I guess I won't add Tokyo Ghoul if you're gonna finish this up.

Some chapters have problems with second half. Images don't load, for example https://mangadex.com/chapter/14159/10

There were some missing pages here and there, (4-5 thorough the series) they're fixed now.

One of the best mangas I've read in a while. It gets really good in the middle when you see Kanekis transformation. Deep, dark and dreary yet though-provoking and plot development was consistent. Only wished Tokyo Ghoul:RE didn't suck :(

@zxcero Tokyo Ghoul:RE isn’t that bad, I still throughly enjoyed reading it. I love the character interactions more in RE then in this TBH

Really good, was reluctant to start it but man this manga paces well. No BS power upgrades or other shonen downfalls, overall a master class manga. Reminds me of Death note, except a bit less thinking and a lot more fighting. 9/10.

@mdfrosty
Hide is alive though

@DanTheMan6383 Why compare this to other shonen? This is a seinen for young adult. At least comparing it to other seinen like Berserk or Parasyte. You cannot say other shonen are downfall because they are meant for younger audiences so they have to be simple and straightforward or else young children can't understand. The MC always win in the end because it is to encourage young children. Death Note is a different case because it is not a mainstream shonen. I enjoyed shonen when I was a teenager but now as an adult, I like seinen more simply because I am not in shonen demographic anymore.

@miyako19 Dude, are you sure you're replying to the right guy? I didn't read that much into it when I commented my comment, don't know where your whole spiel came from. And I would argue that Death Note is mainstream, at least in recent years, especially if Netflix adapted it. I don't really have an opinion on anything you mentioned in your comment besides the above sentence, i'm just here to read great manga and have a good time and hopefully let others know that Tokyo Ghoul is worth reading, that's all.

Starts off as a horror manga then with a bit of battle shounen and neo noir towards the end. One of my favorites, but I'll argue that the sequel really shits the bed towards the end which is a damn shame.
