This series is pretty great. Buy it, borrow it, whatever, read it. Personally i really enjoyed that the author isn't above making fun of the readers that came for the books with wish fulfillment expectations, without actually mocking them.

...but what-if (what-if, what-if) in the long run, that kind of treatment may end up serving those kind of readers better than yet another fantasy (refer to afterword from second volume)? Even if it is just a slice of life comic for and about thirtysomethings? Even if it's full of ordinary musings about mundane things for regular folks to ponder about?

Ad sponsored by "You know people will only help you up when you're drunk if you're under 25, right? In your thirties, you have to stand up on your own", and all other quotable lines from the script.
