I think the baby parasite need host to grow until its reach the end of its baby life cycle and need to join the main host in order to survive.

Yep, she was the first one to enter the tunnel after the original host was killed. She refused to budge when Yuki tried goading her out, but I guess she doesn't need coaxing anymore...
