So is that staircase twintail girl a vampire? Part of the premise of this series is that the female lead is oddly similar to a manga character. Are we now going to embark on reality slowly breaking down with an increasing cast of fictional characters entering reality? Probably not! But that might be a fun loop.

It was to show how "isolated" she is because of how her peers treat her - they treat her like a goddess and are not worthy a second more of her presence which as a high school girl who is humble and wants to be normal is super lonely. It basically was to show how different MC is acting towards her compared to the usual cultists and why she became so attached so quickly. Like a "normal" person at that school would have probably not used the notes and made them a family heirloom or something.

While I see what you're saying and it makes more than a bit of sense, there is no way such effort was expended on that character design to simply use it to make that point. To me, she looks like a character that's going to appear in the future, likely the very next chapter. Then we'll know the reason for that awkward interaction.

While I think you might be reading a little more into it than intended, you're view of it does contrast greatly with MC falling asleep - thus showing how he's wasting her time, and thus showing how he's treating her like a normal girl.
