Boy, she was that close to doing just that by the time was being harsh with him back then. But being able to realize that now is a sure sign he's grown.

What do you mean 3-month? We had New Years in chapter 42, 43 presumably took place during January at some point, and this one is clearly mid-late February if there's talk of Valentines being recent. I mean, I guess if you want to say they've been skipping between months each chapter, then yes, but 3-month timeskip seems disingenuous when they're showing moments during those months with each chapter.

Though, yeah, you are correct we basically skipped over any sort of 'valentine' arc where the female lead in a romcom would make chocolate for the male lead. Kind of a weird thing to skip and gloss over, but they also seem to be focusing so much on their futures, I guess it's hard for them to keep track of even those sorts of events. Maybe in that sense, it's realistic..? I dunno. It might also be the awkwardness of their 'relationship' as it is made it weird for her to think about doing anything, as well. Maybe she never even gave him obligatory or friend chocolate before, for instance, and was unsure if she should do anything if they're not even officially going out. On top of how busy they are with their own things, that is.
