The author should have stuck with the silly magic for the last few chapters honestly. Not that it would have saved the series, it was just more fun.

I hope they find success with their next one.

sincerely, fuck Sueisha. this was enjoyable when we had Silly Magic of The Week theme going on. but putting it on the Jump roster means you need more serious battle scenes because Jump readers want "hype moments and aura" above all else. and then it turned into just another battle manga with no uniqueness. fuck Sueisha

kinda see the axe coming. it has strong start then it lost it's originally really quick and then become repetitive. for magic who has hundreds janky magic, water gun magic literally used more than half. wish author has more to expand the story, but oh well, the character and comedy is likeable enough. 7/10

It's Osoegover...

Nabe-sensei somehow managed to land the ending, which I think is great. It is certainly a bit better than the typical "our adventures will continue!" type of ending.

Overall, I had fun with this series. Even if the execution of the series was not the greatest, I don't mind. It consistently has a heart to it that makes me feel happy.

Not surprised, but at the same time, I'm sick of Shueisha's shit. They keep doing this and it's such a cruel and stupid way to run a business. If they don't think a manga can maintain a following, why greenlight it? If a manga they greenlit isn't hooking people, why aren't they helping? All they've managed to do is cultivate a very large audience who shows up for one or two series, because they either don't care or are sick of getting burned by reading anything else.
