Even if it ended up being proven to be a test and not a serious proposal, at first, it still helps explain her openness to the idea of just jumping into marriage when Nasa ultimately pressed her in his recovered memories.
That moment two years ago certainly did feel like 'destiny' for the both of them, that's for sure.
And the rest was pretty much exactly what we already kinda knew and expected from a much earlier Chitose flashback, and why she's always worshiped Tsukasa so much. Definitely a very different kind of attachment from the one Tokiko formed. Far more of a hectic, adrenalin-filled moment. A 'suspension bridge' event, if you will.
Much like Tsukasa's encounter with Nasa years later. Though I think the context helped make it feel a lot more like 'destiny' for both of them.
