I like how the author doesn't lengthen fights for the sake of it. So far the fights were more about showcasing the things our MC learned and then applying them. It gives us a pretty good pace.
It's nice to keep it short and real, even if you practice MMA, a kick to the head is an almost guaranteed KO on anyone. Poor guy won't get to talk to the girl he wants yet

Y’all took the words right out of my mouth. Don’t get me wrong I love an emotional well choreographed drag out brawl as much is the next Weeb but the author made the best possible call here.
After around four months of training, the average person should be able to identify and take full advantage of repetitive openings left by their opponent. This was a perfect way to show the audience that the MC has graduated from struggling with No Name Punks while also letting this Invincible group start taking center stage
