They've mentioned a few other real brands and products. One of the notes a few chapters back mentioned a fashion blogger "mb" being involved in the creation of the manga. Its probably meant more as fashion advice than product placement.

(You're right that fast fashion is terrible, very much a "I'm not rich enough to buy cheap things" situation in regards to durability and waste)
