I don’t know how time and space works in this manga anymore honestly. People legit are just popping up wherever and whenever they want.
It really feels that way right? I feel like it was only yesterday they were on a fucking aircraft carrier in a battle to the death observed by Chinese and American military.

Well, at least the story sure is blazing along.

Yeah, it's been really jarring from the moment Ryusei lost his eye.

Also again, I'm supposed to be impressed that Ryusei is gonna fight Kiryu who was literally in a wheelchair?

I won't lie it is strange they hype up some tin can robot when in the first manga Kiichi as a young kid/teenager fought against a big ass sumo wrestler named Remco that could palm strike a huge dent into steel and he got defeated by Kiichi and that was still early in the manga. It feels to me these characters got nerfed compared to their past selves.

They talk about needing tools to defeat a dog when Iron Kiba fked up a tiger and suplexed it to the ground. If anything their phsyical power has been nerfed badly same with their durability and it's leaning more into the bs martial art techniques nowdays.

The set pieces are one thing but the other is like how did Ruysei possibly get to fukkin Alaska to fight in the snow, then talk to the Government, then get back to not only Kiryu’s compound but INSIDE his secret little chair room all in the span of what seemed like half a day.

I will never get over the fact that he fucking punch-sploded a bear and they are still like: “Yeah but these are still gonna be close fights."

I'm a Baki fan so I'm already pretty forgiving of bs powers coming from bs reasons but this whole Ryusei/super soldier shit is reaching new lows.
Remember in Baki so far the most we’ve had is imagination sharing and transplanting a few limbs and a soul being brought back. Not taking out the heart and eye and transplanting them along with the fake-grudge of a character killed over 200 chapters ago from a +25 cloned supersoldier.
Holy hell Baki has the good decency to spread out it’s crazy shit and let it breathe.

Yeah Grappler Baki made it quite clear from the very first episode that the humans in their world are far above ours they are nearing superhuman, the strong ones atleast so in that way Baki is more consistent. Tough started out more or less grounded in reality albeit a bit over the top at times. But it seems it can't decide what it wants to be. I still enjoy reading it though the art is amazing and detailed.

Can't forget waking Pickle back up from his long sleep, or (if you want to count it as canon as it is by the author) Retsu being isekai'd after dying.

Or them cloning Miyamoto Musashi and infusing the body with his soul with magic.
