I wonder how Azuma will handle the manga later on, as Reimu's conversation with Yukari in PCB doesn't fit well with the manga.

I doubt Azuma is leading to this but it would be very funny if this ends a la jojo part 7 (plus it brings Remilia being a jojo reference full circle). Remilia gets utterly defeated by the Reimu or Marisa and tries to use her powers to reroll fate but finds that every timeline leads to a Reimu inventing the spell card rules or a Marisa blasting her with a full power master spark without the limits of the rules before giving up and landing in the main Zun timeline.

Really love this reverse depiction here where it turns out Reimu's the one working hard to live up to the expectations of being a shrine maiden. Or it can quite possibly go both ways.

The inferiority complex doesn't necessarily have to be mutually exclusive. Reimu is impressed by Marisa's experience and tries to catch up. And Marisa is impressed by Reimu's talent and also tries to catch up.
