not sure if isekai but adjacent in some 'fantasy' world, it was about a young boy who lost his parents? but he had enough money but an 'empty'/barren territory to 'hire' some ppl and one person came right away b/c he offered good/high pay and eventually more ppl joined like a mage who liked staying in and a demon king named mao (tho not rly narrowing it down b/c of the name mao being used for the title in other series lol) but one of the female workers there also had a crush on the demon king too but he was oblivious to it
