I just read all of tsubasa and xxxholic in a row, and I am satisfied with this ending.

So a recap of this manga, please correct me if i'm wrong:

syaoran makes syaoran make a wish; for syaoran to retrieve items for syaoran on his journey in search for syaoran (and sakura). so syaoran makes a wish to syaoran, and syaoran retrieves the item at a cost. syaoran doesn't tell syaoran what the items are or does; syaoran doesn't really know himself, but syaoran takes them and uses them is able to use them on his journey. syaoran finds syaoran but must make a choice. syaoran fights syaoran while syaoran watches, despite syaoran not being able to contact syaoran in this world. syaoran figures out that this syaoran is syaoran from "that" time and not syaoran from the other time or the other syaoran he met together with syaoran. figuring out that syaoran cannot use magic, syaoran uses magic to defeat syaoran. but it's not enough and syaoran almost kills syaoran. sakura sends deus ex dream water to save everyone, syaoran wakes up and talks to syaoran, confirming that syaoran was still alive, but once the water appeared syaoran was gone. syaoran confirms that the yuuko he saw isn't the same Yuuko. syaoran confirms he learned that he will see syaoran again if he works hard to see syaoran. syaoran thanks syaoran and returns syaoran's birdcage

@Nunally apologies, you are correct, technically some of the syaoran's i mentioned should be "syaoran's son" lol
