There were no real surprise, I guess, based on the foreshadowing that already happened.

The FL is the real saint. She showed her power in time of danger. They eventually return to the capital to rescue people there. Since monster started to appear because the real saint wasn't there. The last chapter was the ML talking to his father, the current king. Probably about returning as crown prince.

He is the king's son from his wife. The ML hinted of his background in early chapter, saying that he was an illegitimate child. What he didn't say was that his father was the king.
