I mean that might be a red flag, but teenage curiosity aside, there were whole sites/subreddits dedicated to showing vids of gruesome deaths

That said, i wouldn't wanna know as a 'normal' person but if i saw it outta context, it might be helpful if you were suddenly in like a horror movie /situation to where it's like "Oh this is def a mangled body" tho you wouldn't hopefully be near anyone capable of doing it.

--

Tho i wonder how many movie directors/ writers 'researched' those for 'accuracy' or so lol
Unrelated, but recently I learned that there's this thing called "body farms". Basically in your will you can donate your body to a body farm, so they will dump your corpse in a restricted section of a forest and just let it rot, and then trainee detectives/criminalists and other such personnel can study your body at different stages of decomposition in natural circumstances.

They're just messing with each other at this point. But in a contest of messing-with, I think the mind-reader has an advantage.

Manga readers being forced to read challenge (IMPOSSIBLE)
In fairness, rather few people still have attention spans, and chances are good they wouldn't be reading manga if they had one..... but your point stands. (And I'm just as guilty as the rest.)

My boy! please run away! Remember the old saying! "Don't stick your d**k in crazy!"
I hope this is just an arc where Spica helps this kid and stops him from doing the biggest mistake of his life due to some stupid edgy thoughts.

New sidekick? It feels like a filler arc. I don’t think there will be a murder case like the previous two arcs.
A 3rd party POV of what it's like to be near Tsumogi.

Also juxtaposes what "Serial Killer" Highschooler is like.

"I was around those kind of people, I might kill a person one day too"

Hope he isn't a future victim of a murder and is instead being introduced as a side character for her school life. It helps humanize Spica and gives a better view of where her morals are.

Him being flustered is cute and it's gonna be great when he finds out that the sweet girl he met is a serial killer.

It is seemingly inconsistent though cause going back to chapter 1 the old guy gets pushed at night, and this is still day if just very late afternoon. I'm assuming the author just messed up that part tbh.
It is in fact, not night time, you can go back to chapter 1 page 40 to see the sky and confirm it yourself. scratch that, i just realized on page 31 it's clearly night time :dogkek:

and also I didn't see the darker gradient on page 40 :02:

  1. The most likely reason: that's a separate incident of Spica pushing an old guy onto the rail tracks. Damn, somebody's already made this joke
Not Spica's fault that old guys and rail tracks go so well together, like peanut butter and jelly.

Old men would turn into the jelly part in this comparison, I guess.

As for detective, I assume he was going to that cafe regularly for years, wasn't his case many years old? It can be happening way before the current events in 2nd case started to push it to resolution.

Oh I see this timeline is around the first arc where the sensei saw Spica push the old man on track. I guess he going see Spica "kill" sensei later on.

Spica saved the bitch from blood loss and she almost died because she can't shut her mouth and she still hasn't learned her lesson?
Nop. Read again. It looks like this happened in the past.
You can see the old detective still alive in the coffee, and the teacher in class its the one from the first chapter, I think. Also the train accident at the end of this chapter is that old geezer that Spica pushed at the beginning of the manga.
