Spica isn't a hero of justice, she kills because she wants.

I mean, it might feel a bit pointless and less exciting to have her hit him with the hammer of justice now, but my guess is that the victims would say "don't let that fucker meet his end in peace and get away with it".

But looking forward at what she decides to pull off.

Dying of Alzheimer's or another dementia is hardly meeting your end in peace. A judge would probably find that he lacked the mental capacity to understand his punishment or even that he did something wrong (as hinted by what he said to Spica) so there's no chance the justice system would do anything other than confine him in a mental health institution.

Whoa ain't that a weakness to her power to read people? It seems she can't read people minds when they forget certain memories on their head. Maybe her power to read people won't work to serial killers who can actually hide their own intent like if they try to deceived themselves that they're not a serial killer when in fact they're serial killers.
