Curiously, I feel a great many things*.
Subjectivity, right? We are, each of us, not only the world we survey, but also the maps we make of it, the poles that true our needles, and the stars that light our way. It's crazy.
Anyway, I've loved this filthy little ink-stain since meeting it on [redacted pornland] a few years back. And because I travel exclusively by the lowest of low roads, I stumble across it again from time to time. In such moments, I always pause to reread it and am always glad I did.
It's not that I find Tsuujou Kougeki ga Hornimom especially stimulating. While the perversion on display does suit my kinks, the climax fizzles. I mean, poor Maa-kun spends five pages tossing hotdogs down that hallway, but despite his efforts, only one panel kicks hard enough to rouse the corpus cavernosum [pg. 13, top left]. And one panel won't get you Memphis chub, much less Pittsburgh steel.
I like this doujinshi not as fap fuel, but simply as manga (which is to say comics). I like the drawings. I like the characters they portray and the story they tell. I particularly like mom's look of wounded confusion on page 2, and I love the tearful chibi faces that frame it. To be honest, I just altogether love Maa-kun's mom. I love her demented optimism, her category 5 affection, and her faith in the power of love to transcend idiocy. She's a funny and charming character. She's also so totally out to lunch that, for once, the stereotypically exaggerated MC reactions actually seem appropriate and work as comedy.
So it's a good comic. Fun to read, 8/10
