Tytania, I remember the anime of this manga fondly, a must see for fans of the Legend of the Galactic heroes.
This chapter was well written, not a big fan of the artstyle though, and it didn't cover some things present in the first anime episode, but it could be that the mangaka decided to change when explanations and flashbacks were done and is in the next.
The manga is unfortunately in hiatus because, if I remember it correctly and nothing changed, the author didn't continue the novel, not axed or cancelled, a extended hiatus, and it got to the manga, I presume is better than the 2 alternatives or a original ending with questions unanswered.
