I wonder why they didn't put them in airtight containers to make sure ants or other bugs couldn't get into them? Rodents either, aside from the hamsters, that is. If you've ever lived anywhere that had issues with ants, just locking everything up in an airtight container quickly becomes a force of habit.

I mean, tupperware is usually enough to keep things out. But hamsters can chew through plastic.
