In the tv show, Banila never fought Ultraman as it was melt by Aboras; but this time he fights Ultraman twice, he defeats the hero in the first battle.
Banila's fire melts Ultraman's body like icicles, and even deflects Spacium ray!
Ultraman is damaged so badly, he can't fire Spacium ray in the 2nd round.
He is immobilized in the Spacium ray pose for a while - like covered in the melt-bubble in the tv show - but eventually defeats the two monsters at a time, by Slicing ray.
Our hero prevails again.
