This episode is essentially "Ultraman vs Gomora's Tail".
Story goes along with tracing the plot of original TV show.
In the 1st battle, Ultraman chases Gomora underground. A rare scene of underground battle of Ultraman, prior to Goldon in episode 29 "
The Challenge Into Subterra".
After the 1st battle ended, Hayata lost his beta capsule. A monster-maniac boy Osamu plays the role of lost-and-found, the same as the tv show.
In the 2nd round, Ultraman is badly beaten by Gomora's tail. He manages to cut the violent tail off with Spacium Ray, but the tail spontaneously wraps around Ultraman's body and squeezes him, like a lizard's tail!
Eventually, Ultraman manages to free his arms to shoot Spacium Ray, defeating Gomora.
Osamu gets the privilege of free admission to the Expo Osaka where Gomora's taxidermy is displayed.
