ough, Brian's looking scary for very different reasons from how she's normally scary on the track... that last "WHY?!" page is absolutely haunting. Derby racing history ain't my forte but I'm really curious what it'll take for someone like Laurel to override this "ghost" pushing Brian to ruin herself for the race

Sorry this one took so long. A bit of a perfect storm: hard redraws on a very important story moment and a hard deadline at work made me have to juggle my time and ultimately I have to focus on my real job first. I really wanted to make sure the "why" panel looked as good as it possibly could be without the text covering anything important, and it eventually became its own sort of nightmarish trial. I think it was worth it though 😔

Chapter 45 should be done much much faster, as it does not have any redraws, only some handwriting at the end. From my memory, 46 has a Lot of redraws, but they could be simple. We'll see!

This was also brought up on twitter, so I'm pasting my response there here (and adding a bit more)

Both are technically correct. Back before we had official translations (via the game), "Kikka Sho" was a commonly used translation of 菊花賞. For new/first time used terms we follow official translations if available, but since we've been doing this before global, we called it "Kikka Sho" to keep consistency with our previous chapters.

I can't explain that feeling.. It feels so heavy I know it's just a show. But I have a very deep feelings for these. They made it really good. This is one of those chapters with a really heavy feeling.
