Honest thoughts? This kinda shows why pure gag characters work better as the side character to spice things up. Too much focus on the chaos ultimately undermines the uniqueness of the gag and the unique moments become the norm. Also the focus being solely on the gags means that jokes get less time to land before they have to roll on to the next joke. The first couple chapters feel less like gags and more like random bullshit attempting to be funny. A lot of Golshi’s best comedic moments in the anime are either background gags or small vignettes that know when to cut back to the ongoing plot. The “all day Segway” just happens and isn’t a focus but a continuous gag that is played completely straight. The “eye shot extravaganza” is a running gag that happens repeatedly but isn’t hyper focused on. I think this manga is fine but I’m of the opinion that the humor is TOO random at points.

I wouldn't dig that deep. In my opinion, this is a typical running gag spin-off about a meme character, whose primary goal is to generate even more memes about them. Sure, it's pretty crazy to read about the chibi Gold Ship experiencing a tragic love affair with her Scoop while the second season of the epic story about the original Oguri Cup is airing, but it's just a parody spin-off about a meme character, so I don't have any particular problem with it.
