Amazon warehouse work has supplanted construction jobs as the default "sell your body for money" jobs that young men take on. It's very helpful for young men who need to like, get out of gang life and find a stable situation. Of course, it's a lot more complicated than that, but this is stuff you could write an essay on... Anyway, as for this story: it really does seem like we're back to basics! A reset from the last story, back to the old "do this high-paying job with a supernatural twist" thing. I'm willing to be that if we scoured the chapters, we could identify that man who says he's met Nagomi as someone who was in one of the other stories but got brought back from the timeline reset.
