Daikichi is an idiot. Yes, that's been known since chapter 1, but you can really see it in his relationship with Nitani. His schoolboy crush on her is revealed from time to time, but this chapter kinda shows her into him as well. They should have started dating before the timeskip, and married during it. They are ideal parents for each others child, and would be a great family.
Oh well. I actually don't mind the second part of the story. I just would have preferred a "Thanks, Dad." ending over the "Marry me, Daddy!" ending we got.
