Koonita's new ongoing story is more horror themed, it's a yuri about a demon girl in hell. Has a bit of dark comedy gore and more scary monsters.

That prototype art of a more human princess with the zombie rabbit got me thinking of potential connections with the established story. Like, maybe she was a rabbit fanatic who delved a little too far into the rumored rabbit forest. But instead of joining the zombified hordes when spirited away, she just wakes up as an anthropomorphic rabbit and nurtures the rest of the rabbits back to their normal condition, thus breaking the curse, and fulfilling her dream of becoming a rabbit princess.

But yeah, fanciful thoughts aside, I do prefer the work as is. She's a rabbit princess, and this is her absolutely delightful kingdom of roads filled with sleeping wolves, conniving tanuki, cats aspiring to rabbithood, and of course, towering carrots everywhere.

Haaaaaaah.... and that's that. Thanks for the thorough translation efforts and see ya down the road.

That may have been the intended idea originally going by the author's notes on that art page:

"A princess surrounded by rabbit-like creatures"

The first page reminded me of one of those rabbit drawings in the twitter extra 3, the one with the drool, wonder if that was a deliberate reference to her old design.
