it would be great if our wolf gets to fight her sempai as the final battleBanri found her will.
Being able to surpass the intent of a tool is a pretty slick "aura moment" within the narrative. I wonder if she can now fully control four dimensions, or if there's a limit to the amount she can force upon that "dimensional extension" ability, so the most she could muster was staving off her own death.
Hopefully our Wolf gets her act together. That was surprisingly smooth from Kyouka; I was actually fooled for about two panels until I realized what she was actually saying to Izuko.
I almost hope that Kyouka is lying about Senpai's condition being reversible, and is only trying to push Izuko to action to take out Yue, who obviously needs to be stopped in any case. But I will be more than happy with an actual happy ending where Izuko gets her senpai back, and everything ends peacefully (or at least as much as can be possible).
Thank you for the TL work on this series, as always. Much, much cooler than I'd expected going in.
My personal headcanon is that because it's a two-headed hammer, one end constructs, and one end deconstructs. The capabilities of the Kyouka hammer are still unknown, and it may be an ability to repair things like Josuke stand ability, or an ability to destroy things. That is why she said that restoring Higana is may still possible, and the reason she did not use it is probably because it consumes a lot of energy or mass, and in her current state, where she has little mass, she cannot activate it.
It's a very interesting and very plausible theory. It's possible that her careless and silly nature is just a mask to fool other characters. We've seen Kyouka's true personality several times, but we still don't know what crime she committed that led to her being exiled. Also, the fact that Kyouka is a top number rabbit, and even her number is still a secret, suggests that she might be above Yue. Perhaps after Yue is defeated, the next boss will be Kyouka. The reason why Kyouka is so eager to defeat the other rabbits is still unknown. This is just a wild theory, but perhaps she wants to devour Yue and restore her power to its former state, even strengthening herself while targeting the meteor. Without Yue, the competition for the meteor becomes smaller and easier. My personal headcanon is that because it's a two-headed hammer, one end constructs, and one end deconstructs.
No real rationale for it, it just sounds cool, and we've gotten hints that there's way more to Kyouka than she herself would lead anyone to believe (due to one of the volume extras, IIRC, anyway) - so her having some absurdly potent power / ability just feels like it tracks with how ditzy she's been up to now, alongside the fact that she still ended up exiled alongside the likes of Yue.
