there is a line where Yue, in her own twisted way, loves the most of everyone in the story.
She would just rather see kindness annihilated for the pain it causes in her, than believe in its power to change and help people even with great cost, I guess.

Which I think also makes her profoundly weak, maybe the most of everyone in the story.

A neat little dichotomy within a single character.

I guess that could be interpreted as mercy, but still completely twisted.

I guess Yue in her twisted way just can't see people being exploited / used against their will, so she (probably at first only pretending) to be a villain, before something happened and she took it too far and become a villain?
