Using a deadbeat irresponsible dad as a comedic device rather than a sob story is one hell of a decision. Given the setting of the manga, I wouldn't be expecting anything too serious but I'm all here for the fluff.

Poor girl is just as poor and starving yet she devotes everything to him. I hope he eventually is able to get food and feed her after getting away from the deadbeat father stealing from him

I hope that they address how fucked up their situations are soon. Like the girl presumably does have parents ( or if the rich parents thing is true they aren’t taking care of her) and the guys mom is probably dead and his dad is literally stealing food off his kids plate and money from his wallet. CPS needs to get involved soon. I doubt they will though this is clearly going for comedy and romance above anything else
