I really liked this chapter with Emma and Emily as a backdrop to the main duo. It helped establish their relationship and once again hammer home how poorly "Tsubaki" was treated in the village (also best like with ignorance not being foolishness; kids should learn through new experiences). Emma is basically the MC but if found by not a trash person. It's incredibly weird and heartbreaking how low the main character's bar is basic decency and being treated like a human being from being mistreated as long as he can remember.
