While there are certainly fewer novels with a 'anti-hero summoned to kill the malevolent heroes' plot hook, this novel setting isn't too far off from the bog standard 'exiled classmate that gets revenge for being bullied' template.

Yes the former assassin angle hasn't been used much, but it's hardly a trope that hasn't been seen before.
